One of my fondest memories of Lake Como is taking the funicular up to the hilltop village of Brunate. That’s when we found a bar perched on the edge of a cliff. We drank Negronis while listening to an endless stream of Duke Ellington, and I knew I found a little piece of heaven suspended in time.
It was in this moment that Lake Como stole my heart and I schemed up ways to never return home. Obviously that didn’t work and I’m back (for now).
